@Tricia_Lynn, I’m just starting my second time with fretboard wizard. It’s been a few months since I first went through it. I’ve forgotten so much. I’m not sure if I can really answer your questions. I’ve asked a number of people in my journey the best thing I can do to get better at guitar. I was surprised how many said to learn the CAGED system. This is basically what fretboard wizard is, learning the CAGED system. I think with songwriting, learning more about what chords naturally go together, and different voicings along the fretboard could be beneficial. I’ve learned a lot, and look forward to going through it again. I hope this helps a little.
