  • 30 Day’s – Verses – 30 Minutes!

You know the old saying: A blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then! 😜

This small discovery/Win was too good not to share!

I’ve been trying to clean up a few songs for the last 30 day’s. Also this week I have been struggling with a new song by: Toby Keith, Courtesy of the Red White and Blue. One small win was, my struggles, causing me to have a small win breakthrough. With day after day of playing I was finally able to learn my two first bar chords.

    Bm and F# chords.

This is why I chose not to do this weeks challenge but I did save it for later use.

So this evening I was about to walk away due to sore and grooved fingertips, but something made me go back to my saved, Ultimate Guitar Tabs and look around before I went to bed. 🧐

I stumbled across a song by: Waylon Jennings. Cowboy’s Last Song.

    3 simple chords: D G A

So I picked up my guitar one last time and said ” what the heck I’ll give it a shot!” 🤔

WOW!!! 30 minutes later after throwing in a nice Boom-chic waltz, I had another song under my fingers! 😆

I wanted to do two things with this post.

#1 Give encouragement to all the new TAC family members, have patience, Momentum Over Mastering! When you are struggling with something like a chord or a song don’t give up. All of a sudden you will look back a say ” WOW, I didn’t realize it but I just learned 2 or 3 chords or an easy song!”

#2 I wanted to ask all the TAC family members with more than a year of playing, has this ever happened to you?

I also include a pdf file below of this easy song to have fun learning.

    Have Fun and Play Guitar!

I’ve more than a year and it happens more and more frequently the more you play. The muscle memory phenomenon is amazing. Sometimes you can’t play something to the point of frustration. Then you let it rest and come back to it and… Presto… it is there. It is like the muscle memory says, “Ha. Jokes on you. I was just seeing if you really wanted to play that lick.”
