  • A Sad Irish Wake, Poor Timothy Finnegan

Posted by albert_d on March 16, 2024 at 7:27 am

I first heard this song from Allen Wayne Damron who was a Kerrville Folk Festival director and Austin and area performer and entertainer. He passed some a decade ago but he inspired me and others. I am playing this song on his custom Ovation guitar I was able to purchase from his estate.

It fits for the season as day two of the trilogy.

@albert_d – your Irish ditties are delightful! Brought back visiting many a pub on the Emerald Isle. I hoist up a Guiness to you.
