A shout out.
Hello fellow TAC troopers!
I just wanted to post because I NEVER do and I am pretty darn stoked about this experience! I am 67 yr old male, my first guitar lesson, I was 12 yrs old. I have had this yearning for so long, I ALMOST gave up. I am in my 3rd wk of 30 Days and have progressed more in 3 wks than the previous 50+ yrs. When I began 3 wks ago, I was no more proficient than I was at 12-13 yrs old. I have ALWAYS owned a guitar, often going months on end never touching it. Looking back on it now, I think patience and expectations were my downfall, both my own! Needless to say, my patience has mellowed with age. The expectations are softened by Tony’s approach and constant reminder to not stress about it and have FUN doing this! It is supposed to be that!
So…power chords, strumming, open chords, tabs, all things I now understand. Not just abstract concepts. I now look forward to getting home to pick up my NEW guitar. Its the 2nd thing I think about when I awake…coffee #1. Looking forward to the rest of TAC.
