    After a house fire and not being able to take lessons since January I am trying to step into this challenge of “open D tuning” where a am supposed to tune the guitar D A D F# A D.

    I cannot get the low D tuned in on the low E. Either my string gets too tight or to loose.

    Suggestions please….

    Can you tighten your tuner? Perhaps it is slipping?
