All Ten Digits
This morning I took very hard shot to my fretting ring finger by a door, driven by a gust when my wife went out into the garage while I was in the process of closing the front door. I had already turned my head away from the door and a very sudden acceleration thrusted the door into the jam but I had not pulled my hand from behind it yet …. AND….WHAM!!!
I was thinking this would be a pause in my playing for a while but I’m already back at it this afternoon. I iced it up immediately and I have almost no pain. I’m even typing with all digits right now.
So thankful! HUGE WIN: I’m playing and not nursing a broken finger or 2!

Glad to hear your accident hasn’t hindered your guitar playing. My cousin laughed at me yesterday when we were foraging for morel mushrooms because I was wearing leather gloves. Why? I was protecting my hands from invasive multi-floral rose bushes! LOL.

Thanks, yes it was a blessing that it didn’t hinder me in the least. I’ve always had strong bones and apparently at 65 I still do. I used to ski and snowboard a lot and on occasion I have taken some crazy spills, but I’ve always come down the mountain on my own.
I have to ask: what are rdsgossamerwings?

Years back I had a side hustle stained glass “glorified hobby” making and selling stained glass angels and nativities that I created and sold via wholesale fundraising markets and retail art shows. Seven years of fun. At the time, crooks were stealing identities of businesses, hence the long email to protect my side hustle.
