Auto scrolling
Has anyone figured how to auto scroll when you have a full page of music to follow, I keep getting lost when I have to go to the mouse to page down ?

I use Guitar Tabs and it has such a feature at the center bottom. I haven’t seen such a feature inside TAC.

I have tried and tried to get the support team to incorporate the Vidami Blue pedal into their platform, for that very reason so you don’t have to stop playing put your pick down and hit pause, it works fantastic, and it’s works on hundreds of other sites including YouTube. However, if you’re using a Mac and you “Save As” the tab and open it with the Preview app, it will work. It’s not cheap, but works great, pause, repeat, fast forward, and auto scroll.

Hi Joe. Thanks for your reply, I bought an older Vidami Black I believe it I the same except it is wired. I tried to use a few times, and it was fine, just never tried it with
Tonys challenges. Will have to give a go. if I can find a way to make it work, I’ll let you know.
I’ve been trying to play the guitar since I was a teenager and always gave up and would give my guitars away because I hated to see them sit, so I would give them to people that I thought would use them. Kind of crazy I guess, now in my seventies I’ve got the bug again. I am playing for my own enjoyment and having fun with it. for the last two years I’ve been with TAC, I don’t use as much as I should or by the book. But I have to say I am doing more than I ever have and really having fun doing so. I am getting bits and pieces and trying new things as Tony says if it sounds good then it is. I like that thought process. Good luck with your journey.

@JoeT and @DPC71 I approached Support about the Vidami pedal as well. I never bought one because I am learning primarily on TAC. I don’t really want to download and catalog all the play videos. I wonder why the TAC platform tends to be so non-user friendly in a lot of ways and they are not open to changing it unless a massive amount of people request it.
I know somebody posted in the Forum about a pedal that you can use with pdf files, but I wanted to have something that would control video playback as well and it had to work with TAC since I’m learning here.

Like I said @petelanger the pedal also works with videos, where you can pause, resume rewind, fast forward. It works fabulous on many learning sites as well as Youtube, but does not work here. I’m sure many TAC members would probably invest in one, if it worked here, whereas you would not have to stop, put your pick down, grab your mouse hit pause and rewind or whatever, all you would have to do is hit the pause button with your foot and not have to remove your hand from it’s current fretted position.

@JoeT exactly! I would buy the Vidami in a heartbeat if it worked on the TAC website. I’m not willing to download, store and manage all the videos.

I found a used in like new condition for 30$ on Facebook marketplace. I would not have bought if I had to pay the price of a new one. I will have to try and use it more as I progress. Still hoping Tony will make it compatible with TAC.

I would love for this to work as well since the Vidami pedals are amazing. Where is the best place to request this feature? Maybe if all of us request the integration…?

I am not sure what the number might be that would induce TAC to engage their IT Team. It’s not in house, they are supported by a 3rd party so things of this nature involve a cost, so it has to be worth it for them. I have brought this pedal issue and some other issues to Support but nothing was done. Here is an example from when I reached out due to not being able to post more than once under a Daily Challenge. It was deemed not significant enough:

PageFlip Butterfly – Hands Free Page Turner
I just received my foot pedal today and started testing it. So far I’m delighted, it works perfectly to advance the page in pdf files and in OneNote (where I have stored all the tabs for TAC).
As an added bonus, it has some control over TAC video playback:
in both Learn and Play mode it will advance or rewind the player in 5s increments.I didn’t expect it to work at all interfacing with the TAC site so this is an added benefit. After numerous months of running into the same limitation on a daily basis (having to stop playing to operate my mouse or tablet) I finally said enough is enough and ordered something to deal with it.

Thanks, I haven’t tried it out yet, so I’ll try to get the Vidami set up and see if I can figure it out. Will have to wait till the work I’m getting done on the house completed. but glad you got you peddle and sounds like it will help you a lot. This house project is driving me crazy.
