Changed My Flatpick Technique
Got use to holding a Flatpick over 50 years ago on the side instead of using the pointed end.Always worked for me and I was good with it. Dunlop Gator in 1.5mm or 2.0mm were my preferred choices the past few years for Acoustic playing.
Just got a 3 Pack of Dunlop Primetone Ultex in 1.5mm and it is a game changer for me.The larger overall size and the Bevel lets me hold it in the traditional way comfortably.Really happy I tried something different,and discovered something so simple can really make a difference.
Also recently got a new Martin SC-10e.Wow,Martin really pulled the rug out of the old way of design with these models,but I am a convert. Great build quality and an outstanding value as well.

Thanks,I am going to have to get some of those in .73mm for my Electric playing also and see if it makes as much of a difference as well.
As far as the Martin goes,I feel the introduction of the SC models was a very innovative move to further the brand in the future.Not expected,but very welcomed!!!

@James H. The pick makes a big difference. I know I have a bunch of different kinds but I have my preferred pick which is the Dunlop with a grip. Doesn’t slip out of my grip as much as the smooth picks do. Glad you found one that works for you.

I like the Dunlop grippers too. Since using them not one has ended up in a sound hole.🕳
