Consistency
I just got off my flight, checked into my hotel room for this weeks work travel, and the first thing I did was tune my guitar and play.
Because I’m on day 25 in a row and I’m not about to break that streak.
Planning ahead helped make that happen.
I bought a Washburn Rover R10 *mumble mumble* years ago.
I could never play it because it was too awkward, out of tune, and hurt.
I decided to suck it up and play it anyway because that would be better than nothing.
Happy ending:
I brought it to my local music shop last week (to replace the years old strings) and the owner took a look and offered to set it up for $65.
New strings, neck straightened, action lowered A LOT – and now instead of being my least playable guitar it’s one of my most playable.
More than worth it.
And now I get to have fun even when traveling for work.
