Em7 & Dm7 (Ain’t No…)
In last weeks bench mark I subbed these barre chords for the most part. But I am trying to learn them after the fact for the time when this bench mark comes back around.
How in the blazes can you not mute the G string while playing these chords? My ring finger wants to mute the G, if I try to lift it off then my index finger rises with it and I lose the barre. Can anybody shine some light on how to learn this?
Part of me is saying, it sounds ok with the G string muted, why worry?

The only thing that help me was to try and keep my palm as close to the neck as possible. Just takes time. I had to slowly form the chord over and over, checking each string for thumpers.
