Hi @Irmela H good to see you again. Did you continue to play during your 2yr break?

Hi Jeff! Nice to see you too!

As for your question: no. My father died in 2019 and from then on I couldn’t touch the guitar. I know it should be more the case that the instrument is a support in such times, but it simply did not work for me. I am all the happier that I am now back and ready to play again!

        Sincere condolences. I can relate.

I am happy you are finding your way back. Do you still have the Lakewood? I am thinking it had a moon spruce top?

Yes, it is the only guitar I kept.

The top is alpine spruce, the back and sides are zirikote. I couldn’t let go of this guitar, not even in that dark time.

I am glad you were able to keep it. I look forward to hearing its voice again!

You will – as soon as I remember on which fret which note lies 😁

Welcome back – I’m a relatively new member..25 days and counting and learning from scratch at almost 57 years old. Loving it so far and look forward to daily lessons.

      Thank you 😀

You are definitely in the right place. I have tried other online courses, but I haven’t seen a better system than this one yet!
