  • even when im feeling stagnant…..

Posted by Mrfredsporty on August 29, 2022 at 4:53 am

recently Ive been feeling like im not making progress and that Im just stagnant. So I found this audio recording I made a month ago of Dont Think Twice by Bob Dylan . I compared it to one I made today. son of a gun, my new one WAS better. The older one was choppier and the voice was terrible. The new one was a little smoother and the singing more on tune. Sooooooo, perhaps even when we think we are not making progress we really are and thats a win for just showing up. yay tac

Congrats @Mrfredsporty ! Having a taped or videoed performance of then and now is a great way to gauge progress.

@Mrfredsporty , you should make a base line every so often with your songs. Its amazing to see the difference. 🙂

Well, there you go setting such a fine example again, Mrfred! Of course I’ve been meaning to follow up on that idea for awhile now, but that old procrastination thing, you know! I don’t doubt recording myself regularly would be a big help to make some improvements on my playing – so hopefully someday soon I’ll actually get around to it😄 Good for you to be taking advantage of it already.
