  • Guitar Routine advice

I am new here. Joined about 2 weeks ago. I just watched Tony’s 90-day deal where he talks about filling out the Guitar Routine. I am doing that now and I really see the importance of it. However, the weekly progress tracker talks about daily challenges. I am not doing the daily challenges yet, maybe I am supposed to be but I have no idea where to go now.

Anyway, if someone has some suggestions on filling that part out I would appreciate it.

Just a bit lost on the order of things to learn/play. The 30 days to play was easy and it was a step at a time.

The daily challenges will appear at the top of the menu on the left side of the computer screen. Just click on Daily Challenge. These are Tony’s main teaching tool in the TAC program. Each challenge will have an explanation video, a second video that allows you to play along in real time, and the guitar tab you can download and print. I hope that helps.

I’m not there yet (still playing through the first 30 day challenge).

It looks like the next step after is the 5 day guitar routine challenge to give us an on ramp onto the daily challenges.

Indeed, good advice above. It takes a while to discover your own personal path to follow within TAC. Explore the skill courses. I found not to dwell or fret (pun intended) over the DC’s at first. Don’t worry they repeat after about 52 weeks. My first year I spent 10 to 20 minutes with each to get the concept but not perfecting the skill. Now as I am over 2 years with 600+ playing (log-in) sessions with TAC, I spend more time with the DC lessons that match up with my 90 day goal. @DHeaton enjoy discovering your best acoustic life YOUR way!

Thank you all for the help and support. It looks like the 5-day challenges are what to do next then the daily challenges. I hope I can do them as I am not advanced at all.

Don’t sweat the daily challenges. I did them on and off for a while before giving up on them entirely. Occasionally I’ll log in and do one but usually when I’m trying to decide how to start my practice for the day. It’s always there IF you need it but far from mandatory.
