it is not the stretch it is how the stretch is done. I found exponential increase in flexibility when I learned to stretch for release not for tightening. Especially with the tiny muscles and connective tissue in the fingers and hands. Think silly putty. Stretch it too fast and it breaks: slowly and it stretches into long thin threads.

Refer to the hand stretching video. There’s one for finger splits where you extend your fingers on one hand and use the fingers of the opposite hand to split individual fingers apart from the others (for approx. 5-20 seconds each). As with other stretches, it will take time to see results. Extra Homework: If you want to track results, spread the fingers of your fretting hand onto a blank sheet of paper (spread to max.) and trace the outline of the entire hand so you have a baseline for future comparison. Do the daily stretches for a month and then compare the spread to your baseline.
