Maybe check guitar action, the height of the strings over the fretboard. If your guitar’s action is too high, your fingers need to push the strings down really far before they come into contact with the strings. This can make it awkward to play and slows you down. Beauty in the life well lived

    now frail and causing longing

a gift to you I would like to give

Like your beauty and strength, a song.

@IMPBW , you were struggling, and appear to have recaptured the joy. Your desire to help your sister (and family) is a gift beyond desiring, and my only wish is that it will be given, and she will still be there to enjoy it as well. That may not be the end result, but to give that gift deserves that ending.

You can do this, and will, and we are here to help.

Thank you (EverydayAmy). I agree with your suggestion. My son in China sent me to vocal recordings of him singing the song. One with background instruments, (Piano +) and one with just him singing solo for me to decide which way I want to accompany him with guitar. I have not yet tried to practice with them yet. I am still trying to get the chords to would good and the timing right.

Thank you chaohsiung, I tried to follow what they spoke about at the link you sent but it was over my head for now. I am really new. It just looked to complicated. I think, or I should say I home my Fender is ok. I think it is just me. LOL.
