How I TAC
How many days per week do you play:
I play from 4 to 7 days per week. I volunteer for up to 3 days per week. Those days I am away from the house for 12 hours and simply don’t get the time to play. I also travel for a month or two a couple of times a year ( pre-covid). I don’t take my guitar because we are constantly on the move and travel light, e.g. backpack.
What time of the day:
Mostly later in the afternoon before supper. I usually get and hour or two in. Sometimes if I miss that, I practice later in the evening.
Where do you practice:
I have an office upstairs that is quiet and small enough to humidify for my guitars.
What was guitar like before I had a regular schedule:
I tended to pick up the guitar when ever the feeling hit me. That meant short bursts of intense practicing lasting a few days or weeks, interspersed with long periods of no guitar at all. I never progressed. I might learn something, then promptly forgot it. It was very frustrating.
Since TAC, I am inspired every day and each week, without fail, to pick up the guitar and do the daily practice sessions. I now practice a skill (challenge), followed by practicing something I have learned earlier (song, lick, strumming pattern, or chord progression) and if I have time, try to learn something new.
Bonus question:
There is nothing but my guitar and me.
