1.) How many days per week do you play?
I’m a Truck Driver, although I’d like to play 7 times a week and several times a day, realistically I’m lucky if I get 4 times a week once a day. I’ve been a dabbler for about 9 years now, even tried other Guitar teaching sites and groups for years but like Tony said on the introduction video, those people get nowhere fast and just start over and over from the beginning. I’m proof of that.
2.) What time of day do you play?
I don’t play at a regular time, I don’t have a normal schedule. But I keep my guitars out in the open on stands so I can grab them at anytime.
3.) Where do you play?
I play everywhere in my house and outside in my back yard or front porch, being in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania it all depends on the weather.
4.) What was your guitar life like before having a guitar routine & how has implementing a consistent guitar routine helped you? (if possible name 3 ways).
I can’t say that I have had anytime with a consistent schedule, I joined last week and the only reason I have been able to play consistently this week is because I am home on medical leave for covid-19. That being said, I joined because Tony made a lot of sense in his introduction video and I think if I focus on his basic ideas and not try to learn everything at the same time I can finally make progress and commit to a more consistent schedule. I don’t know if I should feel depressed or excited that the introduction videos definition and description of a dabbler fit me to a tee. Anyway, I am looking forward to following a consistent routine where I don’t have to spin circles trying to figure out what to play! Wish me Luck!
5.) Bonus Question: What is one non-guitar item that is a must have in your guitar routine?
A bottle of water, and a chair with no arms. I don’t play standing up.
