1.) How many days per week do you play?

I’ve been playing 7 days a week. My schedule is pretty much open so I’m able to grab as much practice as my tender fingers allow.

2.) What time of day do you play?

I’ll usually play in the morning a bit then have a longer practice in the afternoon.

    3.) Where do you play?

I have a study/office in my house that doubles as a guitar area. One thing I’ve found very helpful is to have another guitar in the living room. I picked up a parlor size guitar that I can sit down with on the couch/recliner and comfortably play. It’s so handy to have that second guitar around to pick up on a whim.

4.) What was your guitar life like before having a guitar routine & how has implementing a consistent guitar routine helped you? (if possible name 3 ways).

Before I joined TAC my guitar routine was very undisciplined and sporadic. Usually watching youtube videos and playing a few licks that I liked. I’d always be playing the same things. Not really improving. Just stuck in the same place. I’d go days between playing because I knew I’d just be playing the same thing again. Groundhog day guitar.

Joining TAC has helped me establish a daily routine that works with my schedule. I can see real improvements happening. I know where I’m week and what I need to do to fix it. I know that if I pick up the guitar and sign in to TAC I’m going to learn something new today. I find that I get very focused on the lessons and actually loose track of time. Interesting side note I can now go into the guitar store and actually noodle a bit where before joining TAC going into the guitar store was a very anxious, unpleasant experience.

5.) Bonus Question: What is one non-guitar item that is a must have in your guitar routine?

When I think about this all I can think is I’m always wearing my slippers. The older I get the more serious I am about my personal comfort.
