How I TAC Dirk Richardson
How I TAC
1. How many days a week do I play?
I play seven days a week. Usually several times a day.
2. What time of day do you play?
I usually play upon first waking, then about noon, then about 4, the about 7 then about 10.
3. Where do you play?
I play in our home office where our computer and printer are. Very rarely I play in the living room.
4. What was your guitar life like before having a routine and how has implementing a consistent guitar routine helped you?
Before TAC i spent much of my time using my old guitar books I purchased in the 70’s as well as YouTube tutorials. I had not been back playing the guitar for long, maybe about 6 months. My goals were to learn the fretboard, learn finger picking, learn how to read music and learn about the chord system and changing keys. Now through my new routine I have developed habits that help me toward my goals. I think the biggest change has been the Daily challenges offered by TAC. Then come the community opportunity to ask questions about gear and technique and navigating the website, and finally my routine includes logging into the VOMs and always listening and sometimes playing. This encourages me to learn songs that sound good to myself and others. My routine also includes reading the Monday emails and applying those to my routines.

5. What is one non-guitar item that is a must have in your guitar routine. I believe I must say coffee. In most of my times throughout the day the first thing I do before I turn on my computer is get a cup of JOE.
