if only….then I would be a REAL guitar player!
If only I could finger pick with alternating bass and play the melody separately. THEN I would be a REAL guitar player! I have always admired blues and folk players like David Hamburger, Dave Van Ronk and others for their effortless seeming fingerpicking styles. I always feel like Im on the verge but cant quite get the coordination.BUT since joining tac I still want that goal but Im also interested in learning other songs and types as well as licks etc.This place is perfect for that. And the members are so encouraging. Maybe I will never be a REAL guitar player but I am sure getting better and enjoying it right now!

Too late @Mrfredsporty you are already a player. After you get that down you may be a player with a bigger bag of tricks, but a player? you already are. Onward strum pick or percuss.

I am with @jumpinjeff , @Mrfredsporty you are ALREADY a real guitar player! My bet is you have some Mrfredaporty tecniques that are unique to you. With your quest and guitar journey in TAC, the other stuff will come along – if you are interested in going there! Have fun 😎🎶🎸
