"Life in the Sixties"
This is an original song by Mark Johnson. This is the very first full recording of it- (after 3-4 “oh-sh*ts”)- and it shows. There are some mistakes, yes. It is a good “before” video. It will get better the more I mess with it. It was fun to write! Hope you like it- send me some feedback if you have a minute!

OK, you asked for it. First, I like the idea of the decade 1960’s contrasted with being 60 plus years old. I like the little bridge because it breaks up the 1-4-5 chord progression. But the song is too long. If the audience isn’t a nostalgic 60 plus years old (which I am), it won’t stay with a slow and non-rhyming song that long. Of course, I’ve never written a song, so I am unqualified to say much more. You have more props for actually doing it. Keep at it. Thanks for sharing it and trusting us with itat this early stage.

When I listened back to it a couple of times— I wondered if I should “post” it or not— or hold on to it and refine it a bit- (rewrite some of the lyrics, shorten it up, maybe try a different key, etc). But I figured it’d be a good “before” video, so why not……
But in retrospect, I think I put it out there too soon……
There’s a better song hidden in there than what I posted-out, that’s for sure.
I’ll work on it a LOT, and re-post it sometime in the future.
Lesson learned…….. all part of the journey.
