What is music? It is repetition. There are other online teachers out there who do teach how to play guitar but I have yet to find a one that integrates learning from the beginner to the advanced player. The other teachers are great treachers. They are more expensive. For results, the intuitive knowledge of thirds is about mandatory. Without that knowledge you may get stuck in learning just that on your own. If you don’t have that maybe another year of TAC will get you to that place.
I want to touch on the subject of repetition. I intitially did not want nor did I appreciate the value of repetition. It took me a few years to figure out that by embracing repetition I was shortcutting my time to achievement. Music is repetition….the coolest songs have the cleverest repeats. The riff driving a tune over and over then slightly varied is the source of the earworm in the songs we elevate to favorites. It was a watershed moment when I grasped the full value of repetition. I recommend it…if you can stand it. It is in “repetition” where I work out the kinks and find the voice of the guitar.

@jumpinjeff well said! I see tremendous value here in at TAC and I think I’ve been quite open in the forum about it. Tony’s approach is unique and effective. I couldn’t stick to other guitar programs before I found TAC; heck I couldn’t stick to learning anything online. I would always fade away and quit. I am now 18 months in and still show up multiple times every day!

There are tons of free lessons on Youtube, and there are lots of expensive teachers out there online or offline. Neither can deliver what TAC delivers for your dollars spent!

Right with you Pete. I would teach someone if they wanted but I would only work with them if they were also doing the challenges TAC offers.
