“Sentinels” – My 2nd EP was released today!
A number of the songs on Sentinels tell stories of old souls in our lives guiding us on the journey. They are in us, around us, in the natural world or sitting by our side. If we are wise we will slow our race through life long enough and listen to what they have to say.

There are a lot of things that make this album special to me as it was kind of a family affair on many of the tracks.
“My Guiding Light” was I think the 2nd song I wrote and I did so while on the Hospice Care night shift for my Dad. His brother Rick Mutter (My uncle) plays keyboards on the track. My wife Gina sings backing vocals on “My Guiding Light” and lead vocals on “Sweet Rosemary” which is a tribute to her mom. In addition my daughter Natalie provides backing vocals on the title track “Sentinels” and on “Sweet Rosemary” as well as cover art.

This was my first time in a “bonafide” studio operated by a friend of mine “Sonny” Bill Glover at Wooden Music Studios, and we took some risks and experimented a bit. He is a gifted singer song writer and musician and he did the production and mastering for this album as well as playing many instruments on various tracks.

For you uber guitar geeks you can look in the credits and see the specific guitars used on each track and include: Martin D-41, D-28, 1946 Martin 0-17, 1975 Guild X-175B, Glover Tele Special (his build), Gibson SG, Fessenden Pedal Steel, and Mandocaster (Billy has many, many guitars…..)
