New Guitar Day is always HUGE! I actually received it 2 days ago, but only now had time to do a recording with it and take a photo to share here. It’s Donner Rising G1.
As some of you may recall I purchased a Lava Me Air last September but ended up sending it back in November. I’ve been searching for a replacement ever since.
This guitar is similar in look and feel, but I paid less than half for it ($200 vs $500) and the Lava had setup issues, probably would have needed to sink $100 more at least to get it right. This new one has a mahogany body with a carbon top, very nicely setup straight out of the box, all I’ve done to it is tune it and it’s pretty much perfect. The Lava Me Air was all carbon and had built in electronics, it was actually an acoustic/electric so it was gig ready (minus the setup part). I am nowhere near ready to play gigs and I wasn’t even much inclined to use all the electronic effects built in so this was a nice exchange for me.
