Old Man Guitar Lick Tuesday (So Much More)
Anyone else having this issue in variation 2? The second hammer on won’t ring, after moving from the Dm9 to the D chord. I see that I am muting the E string with my ring finger while trying to hammer it with the middle finger. The problem is hammering between index and ring. If I lift the index I no problem hammering the E string cleanly.

I noticed that on my initial pre- D chord strum, I wasn’t really striking the low E very intentionally. Going back today and looking for that hammer sound I realized this. By digging into the E a bit more I found that I could get the hammer to ring just a little bit.
As Supertramp would say: “I’m coming along”….small win!
