on being lackadaisical……..Lacaka what?????
Im from the 60s (born in the. 40s) so Im from the laid back generation (not counting a war). thats one of the reasons I live only on social security. Im a victim only of me.(but it sure was fun!). I find that being lackadaisical helps and hurts with my learning guitar. It helps cuz im laid back and dont get too excited if im not doing something perfectly. It hurts when I dabble. Put it away and then dabble a few years later having just barely learned anything. Since joining tac a little over 3 months ago I have totally immersed myself in guitar geekiness. I never miss a morning session. I try to contribute in my little eccentric way. AND Im playing with purpose. I really pluck the strings instead of just nudging them. If I decide to try to sing I TRY to sing not just mumble halfway. I have an aim now. That aim is to enjoy share and learn all I can before I croak

Hi @Mrfredsporty I”m pretty certain the term lackadaisical does not apply to you when it comes to guitar… no doubt in my mind! 😃 Somewhere either on TAC or on Just Music Geeks (JMG) there was a post about an article from WIRED magazine about a more creative free form style of learning bs regimen. You might find that interesting. I will find it a post the link here. In any case, a great win that you have found a love for the guitar and pursue it on a quest that is all yours! 😎😃<div>
