    Re: Monday’s Challenge

Is it correct when the 1st fret of the low E string and the third fret of the A string are played, it is an F power chord?

Following that, if the same shape is used down the neck going from fret to fret, are the chord names then:

    F#, G, Ab (G#), A, Bb (A#), B, C, C#, D, Eb (D#), E, F?

Lastly, when you add your pinky to the mix what would the chords be named?

    Thanks folks,

    Charles

Yes, that’s the way power chords are made/named.

As to pinky use….it depends where you put it down. If you put it at the 3rd fret on the 4th string (while keeping the shape you’ve already described) then it’s still an F.
