I bring my guitar to work every night and practice my fingerstyle songs at lunch (30 min). Then when I get home I do my daily challenge (10-30 min) Throughout the the week I alternate with scales, other guitar techniques, (30-40 min) I do finger exercises and strength building and finger stretches everyday(15-30 min) I started learning an acoustic fingerstyle that is way way out of my comfort zone, plucking the strings while using your guitar as a drum. (just a little everyday) When I seen the video I thought that’s what I want to do, but I can’t do that. I went slow and practice each section slowly and it starting to get there. Like Tony says” practice what you can’t play.”

That is really cool… I can’t bring myself to use my guitar as a drum but the style sounds 😎

Sounds like a great practice routine. I might have to try some of the finger exercises you mentioned. Good ideas.

    Way to go Donny_71.

My goal is to find a practice routine that I can keep day-in and day-out. My problem is that a I get all pumped up for a few weeks but soon trade this “free” time with work-time at the first sight of trouble.

I am hoping to find a comfortable, regular, easy to keep (but at the same time challenging) routine, so I can keep it throughout the days, regardless of the rest of my life. Like brushing my teeth before bedtime.
