  • Printing the Tabs

Posted by Paul C on November 27, 2025 at 9:40 am

I would like to print the tabs so I can practice when time permits. The problem I’m having is that the right side of each page gets cut off. Any advice?

You just need to make the print smaller on your printer function page. i just scroll down the the function page and open the more settings function then adjust the scale function down to about 65 to 70 percent until it fits inside of the display page comfortably. i have to do this all of the time. Hope this helps

I save the PDF file on my PC then open with Adobe reader and print vs. doing <Ctrl-P) on the screen.

Early on I printed out my TABs and even put them in sheet protectors in a nice TAC binder. I soon found this impractical though without a music stand and I don’t have room to keep a stand setup in my office where I TAC so I started to just save the them as graphics into MS OneNote, which has been working well for me. Now I’m experimenting with putting them on my tablet.

I also just ordered a foot pedal to turn the pages. It’s arriving tomorrow so we’ll see how that goes. I went for the one that is endorsed by dozens of professional musicians, the “PageFlip” so I’ve got my hopes up it’s going to work well. The pedals are programmable so there’s a chance I might be able to use it to at least stop and start our TAC videos, which would be a home run for me.

I am a long way away from being called computer literate. At nearly 80 I picked up the some computer skills just to keep up at work. I don’t know the ends and outs of any other computer skills so all of this is very interesting and also very foreign to my skills and my brain. I like the pedal idea and will follow that thread with ya’ll. I will also have to check out the PDF file thingy. I definitely do have way to many binders full of guitar info and am always switching from one binder to another throughout the practice day.
