Progressing 10 minutes at a time
Posted by Chiko on January 22, 2026 at 8:59 amSet my timer at 10 minutes and got through half of the rhythm challenge, with Am, G and Em chords. Not yet clear on the bar chords. Next time!

So tell us your story @Tsuyako Sandy Dunn ! You said you were here before but you were trying to perfect, got frustrated and stopped!
When were you here the last time, how long (how many sessions) did you play?

Hi @petelanger , I first started TAC back in 2020, but I wasn’t committed, got frustrated with my need for perfection and quit after about 22 sessions. My goal for the first 3 months is to show up 5 times a week, pick up my guitar and garner a win. That is, I’ll learn a new something which will motivate me to do it again.

Hi, I am new here but from what I hear that’s the win.
Getting the guitar in your hands for that ten minutes means you have a win. You may get more wins in the ten mins by learning a tiny thing. I have one session and some of the 30 day starter and I am feeling the need for the next ten mins already.
Sounds to me like you have the right path and plan, another ten sometime today, for another win.

Thanks, @gmcoates101. I do think I score a win each time I spend 10 minutes with my guitar, learning something new. And it’s beginning to feel fun. So important in keeping me coming back.

Brilliant, I find some things so difficult but that’s part of the fun and if I ever get frustrated I play something easy and that’s loads of fun, it’s great.
