Great job! Love the sound of that Taylor.

I am looking to improve my finger picking over the next year and this song would be a good goal for me to work on.

Hey there – thanks so much. I dug around for where I learned this one but I couldn’t figure it out. If I can figure out where it was I’ll def share it w/u.

Again, worth the listen even 2 months after Christmas. Are you tucking your fretting pinky under the neck when it’s not fretting a note? Just curious, sometimes my fingers trip each other up so like to watch other’s handywork.

Hey – thanks so much. 🙂 My pinky just kind of tucks in right there but doesn’t go behind the neck at all. My pinky curves in towards my ring finger so it just kind of naturally goes there and hangs out if I’m not using it for something.

Hey thanks so much. I’ve been around, just got out of the recording phase and took some effort to get back into it. I got my first electric guitar last April (I can’t believe it’s been almost a year!) and I’ve been spending more time with that than on my acoustic stuff this year. But acoustic is still my first love. Regarding the recordings, I struggle with the production quality and then get frustrated when the recordings don’t turn out well which then makes it a challenge for me to get motivated to record stuff knowing it’s going to be a battle to get all the sound set up right. And then when I do get it set up it often takes me a few takes to get through a song cleanly without messing up. That’s why I tend to do a couple of recordings in a row when I finally get things set up. Maybe I’d be better served just setting up my iPhone and recording on that – would be faster and get a lot of the recording hassle out of the mix. That was probably more than you cared to know, but thanks as always for listening and sharing some positive vibes and reinforcement. It is truly appreciated! Rock on and I hope you have a great week ahead!

I get it completely. I’ve been working for some time now to set up a little recording area using a Mac Mini and Reaper and OBS software. I want to make the process easy but have not succeeded. When my college age multimedia major grandson was here Christmas we had it all working but I’m now stuck in the learning curve by myself. It is fun and great but it is far away from being easy. There is much to be said for an iPhone and a quiet place. Since I don’t readily have others to play with, I’d like to be able to record and play over myself. But in the meantime it reduces posting frequency. It is nice that there are so many facets of learning available in a guitar journey. By the way, nice electric too.
