shoulda, Woulda, coulda…..BUT!
I shoulda kept playing after being introduced to the guitar back in ’62. Woulda been fantastic by now in the ranks of Dave Van Ronk etc.Coulda kept been great or good. BUT!I didnt. I quit. Never learned much. Dabbled. BUT now, Im back after 60 years and playing everyday. As well as being a member of tac, I show up . I listen. I try, Im rededicated. Thank you so much.

Here is a Kitman mind game thought: have you ever noticed there is no time except for right now. The past is only a memory, a thought that we imagine we remember. The future is the same except it is totally imagined. Look at now – only right now is real. Lol – I do not plan on pursuing any form of advisory line of work. My thoughts are too way out there.

I have a similar story, MrFredSporty! For me it was 1982, working in a music store, was given a nice Fender acoustic as a Christmas bonus, then took some lessons with one of my bosses, the store’s co-owner. Couldn’t ask for a better shot at 6 string stardom😆. Alas, I didn’t stick with it, sold that guitar a few years later, and only decided to try again 4 years ago. Like you, though, this time I am stubbornly determined to hang in there. Even if I just manage to become a decent campfire guitarist, I’ll be happy enough. Like Kitman says, gotta’ live in the now and do my best to enjoy the ride
