Took awhile to settle on and set up the best space! My practice area with Tony is now a quiet and bright guitar haven at home. Most essential feature? The door. Helpful if our cats wander by, or when my wife needs to focus on her piano playing! See description with each photo for my routine and other notes….

Great setup! It’s so important to have that place in your home that calls out to you to pick up a guitar and play!

What you said about “building volume with blocks of time – no matter the length of each” – very true. In fact, I would argue that six 10-minute blocks during a day will benefit you more than playing for an hour once a day.

Chunking it down and focusing on different aspects will most certainly help more while you retain it for a longer period.

No argument from me about chunky building blocks! Especially in terms of better retention. Mind you, I can barely remember what I made for lunch.

Nice place to build your own Hobbit Hole.

True, but I’m 6 foot 5 inches tall – so it’s more of a Hobbit Highrise.
