Small Win – first time back in over a year
Last year was a particularly tough year for me. I don’t think I’ve picked up my guitar since October of 22. But things have improved quite a bit in the last few months.
Today I logged in and watched the lesson from Monday and picked up my guitar. I practiced the choir progression and the finger picking pattern for about 15 minutes, which was as long as my fingertips would allow. 😆
I felt pretty good about how easy it was to pick up picking pattern. I guess that muscle memory is helping me out!
My goal now is to come back tomorrow and to build some consistency again. 🙂

That is great that you can get back into it and pick up your old friend. Welcome back. By the way what are two of your John Prine favorites? Is that part of your 90 day goal?

I love him so much it’s hard to pick favorites. I was working on I Remember Everything when I put down the guitar the last time. So I might try to pick that back up. It makes me think of my dad even though he passed away just before John and so before that song was released. That’s one of the things I love about John Prine is that even if you’ve never heard the song before, it instantly has a nostalgic feel, like you’ve been listening to it all your life.
