Song writing
Does anyone have any resources on creating songs. I have sat and created some riffs and melodies and the like but putting words in the right places and such escapes me….

@Bud6333 I starting writing my own music several years ago for the first time and have used a couple of resources. One that Tony mentioned on an Accoustic Tuesday episode on Song Writing is Andrea Stolpe. I find her suggestions helpful. You might also look on facebook in your area as there are often local song writing groups. One final suggestion that has helped me is looking for open mic events in your area that are focused on singer songwriters. You can perform or just attend and meet people who will likely know of local resources. I encourage you to keep pursuing writing your own songs – I have received a lot of enjoyment from it. Thanks, I have been following Andrea. You are spot on. She is very helpful. Will take a look around for some groups but I live in the sticks…. perhaps in some of the cities ….
