I’m about 130 sessions into TAC, and really like the online lessons. I feel like I could benefit from finding a group of TAC students locally (I’m in Torrance, CA) that might meet in person to practice. Do any of you participate in local groups specifically working on TAC lessons?

Also, I feel like I might benefit by having private lessons with an instructor. I’m sure there are many things I’m doing wrong that an in-person instructor could correct easily, and he/she might help get me to th point of playing complete songs. I feel like there is so much to digest in TAC for now that I don’t really want to have an instrutor introduce much more material, cause I’d never be able to keep up. Any suggestions on how to combine private in-person instruction with TAC?

I just do what my guitar teacher has me working on along with TAC…I tend to think of TAC as a guitar work out to help me with my lessons and getting better with songs. A daily Crossfit session for guitar if you will. Good luck with your decision though.

11 months into TAC now I decided that I would add in person lessons into my toolbox this year. The past Friday was my first lesson so too early to say how it’s going to work. But we did seem to click and he is willing to help me with whatever I think I need. Going to continue with TAC and will probably bring him things I learned with Tony during the week that I may want additional help with. We will see how it goes.
