The $12.00 book that answered most of my guitar playing questions
I am a guitar junkie. I breath, eat, drink up anything regarding guitars. I don’t want to embarrass myself so I won’t tell you a how many guitars, amps, pedals, chords, picks, books, relating to guitar lore, theory, picking, songs, artists… well you get the idea that maybe I’m not right in the head. But my heart bleeds music notes all of the time.
One the best things I’ve obtained over the years is a a little 60 page Guitar theory book that I constantly go back to just because it does contain pretty much every thing you need to know to understand how music and guitar picking works. And you can read it in an hour or two. If you are like me you will probably reread it and pick more guitar nuggets up every time you go through it.
If you are new to the guitar or an old veteran of the guitar wars it will answer most of the questions you have about how all of the guitar stuff that you need to know that can be used to put music together. It can’t practice for you but after you go through it a few times you will probably know what you need to do to become a better picker.
The author’s name is Sean Laughton and the title of this little gem is “The Essential Guitar Fretboard Guide” , If you are serious about gaining mental and theoretical knowledge that you can put into your daily practice routine check it out on Amazon. Put that 6 pack back in the cooler and take that same money and buy this little gem.
