Wakin’ On a Pretty Day by Kurt Vile
This song is 9 minutes long, with mostly instrumental parts of lush electric guitar with effects that create a mood; (that on an acoustic guitar alone I cannot begin to reproduce). Kurt also has his own unique vocal style; laid back, with interjections of words at places not expected, and the lyrics sung in a fragmented style at times, a lyric line strung out across a long stretch. I can’t do Kurt; but loving this song; I chose two verses; and for the intro, between verses, and at the end; sprinkled in a few single note lines (with some effect added in the spirit of the song).
