My [Enneagram personality type 1] wife considers pointing out flaws as a way of helping. (Three buckets of weeds from the yard, but “You missed this one, dear”.) But I overheard her talking to a dear friend in Jacksonville, FL yesterday on the phone and she said, “Albert plays his guitar almost every day. He’s starting to get fairly good.” So I’ll take that as a win.

Definitely a win! When they hear you practicing every day, sometimes the same thing; it is hard for them to have passion for your passion. That is great.

The way I got mine out of that habit was I would say, “In the time it took you to tell me I missed one you could have just pulled it out.” ……..and then I go back and sit in my Zen car which, if I leave the door open, tells me, “Your door is a jar”. I contemplate the wisdom and all is well! Sucks to sleep in though : )
