I am a middle school band director with a performance background in trumpet and piano.  I currently have a Martin D-18 which I bought just a few months ago and a Takamine 12 string which I bought from my brother years ago.  I also just purchased a Taylor GS mini Koa.

I took a guitar class back in college and have only dabbled with guitar since then.  I always wanted to get more serious with guitar since it is such a versatile instrument and I have always enjoyed the rich, resonant sound of the acoustic.   This past year, after hearing a fellow teacher playing on his guitar, I decided it was time to get serious about it so that I could fully enjoy it.    Finding Tony's Acoustic Challenge has been a fantastic way to do just that.   It is a challenge for me since it is so different than playing the trumpet or piano, but it is just the challenge that I needed.
