I have been playing for 49 years. I’m 59.  I love to sing so, it’s always been to get the chords for the song so I can sing it. While I’m better than average, I should be better after playing so long. I have 9 guitars that are mostly sentimental to me and 3 more additions to my arsenal since joining the TAC family as a reward to myself to learn some new licks.  Those are quickly becoming my new favorites because the sound is so much better.  They are definitely better guitars.
My first profile read that I rarely pick any of my guitars up, but since starting TAC, I now play 4-5 days a week doing the lessons.  My style of play has changed a little, not much though.  I have picked up some new ditties to enhance my playing, my ease of moving up the neck is better and my picking has improved.
I think I’ve done what I set out to do when I started the lessons with Tony and I’ll continue to take lessons to keep improving.  But my goal for the new year will be to learn some more songs to sing now.  That just means finding the time for longer playing sessions.
