HI,
A Little About me!
My name is August. I am originally from New Orleans, LA I first became interested in guitar was around the time the Beatles hit the states. I was going to a private school and a new student could play the guitar and knew a lot of the Beatles songs.
We would meet in his room and listen to him play. I bought my first guitar in the 10th grade. Tried to learn on my own. Soon became discouraged. I had a friend that had a band and later made a career out of playing. I later tried the Bass. Didn’t try again until 1985 when I went back to school. I finally could afford lessons. Took some piano and guitar lessons. Difficult doing everything. Family, School, Work, and Church. Later took classes in guitar. Private lessons. Just didn’t take. Learned a lot but still couldn’t play. I consider myself a guitar owner, not a player. Too much off and on.
Why I signed up for TAC. I am semi retired now so I was looking online for some guitar lessons and found TAC. Still not sure if this will work. I am hopeful. I have been exploring the website. Different way to learn guitar. See guitars some listed Martin, Lucille, Takamne, and my Les Paul. these are my favorites and they seem to fit me.

What I have done/or do for Fun. Love the Music, water, sailing, boating, SCUBA, and Snorkel. Outdoors, travel, Hiking, Theater, Family, and Friends. I want to be able to play some music build a list of songs that I can play. It is important because of how music makes me feel when I listen, it takes me to a better place. Different way to express myself.
