Why I'm Here

In Newark, Delaware.  Involved in music as a hobby for decades.  Enjoy noodling in my modest home studio.  Play a little bass, drums, piano and (of course) guitar. Just enough to keep myself entertained (and annoy the neighbors!).

I have had lots of acoustic guitars over the years but my absolute favorites are Seagull & Yamaha.  I have 3 Seagulls -an original S6 bought new in 2000.  This is my beater guitar.  Never has been in a case, has some checks and cracks and dings and dents and is getting sweeter sounding by the day.  I have a  Seagull Maritime SWS Concert Hall and my best 6 string is a Seagull Artist Mosaic Folk (adore this guitar!).

Being primarily a strummer. I also have a Yamaha LL 16-12 (12 string) which is bright and chimey and makes me feel like I am a much better player than I actually am.

Getting better at guitar is important to me because playing acoustic is really my main creative outlet and the more I play, the happier I am.   Learning new songs and increasing my skill level at the tender age of 53 is an important part in keeping a balance between work life, home life and all the attendant stresses contained therein.
