Why I'm Here

I,m Richard. I live near Norwich in the UK and I took up guitar late in life after my wife got fed up with me saying I wished I had learned guitar as a youngster. So she gifted me three lessons for my birthday and I was hooked. Always loved music but always “did” sport but now making up for lost time. My favourite bands have always been the Kinks/Ray Davies and Creedence Clearwater Revival and writers like Paul Simon, James Taylor and Ralph McTell but playing the guitar has opened up a whole new interest in different acoustic music which is great and I am really looking forward to learning more via TAC about the blues and especially Bluegrass which I encountered on a recent tour of the Deep South but which isn’t always that well known here in the UK.
City

It brings so much enjoyment through being able to play some of the songs you always love to hear and learning a new skill. It is a complete antidote to a sometimes stressful job in Financial Services too. Hopefully it will improve my musical confidence and get some new friends as a result.
