60 years old, just starting. Had a guitar as a kid, but never progressed beyond a couple chords. It was an inexpensive unit and painful to play. Recently purchased a nice entry-level Martin (000Jr-10E) and am very happy with how it feels and plays. Now I just need to learn how to play!

I've never studied guitar, or music before, but I recognize that practicing music opens part of your brain that is not accessed through conventional knowledge-based learning. Music, in my opinion, involves both knowledge-based learning and "tacit-knowledge" (the ability to actually DO something) which involves both the mind and the body.
Ultimately hoping to increase my overall creativity through this work. And,most importantly, it's very enjoyable!
