What I'm Focused On Now

COVID-19 has been pretty brutal on me. I have been in isolation with very little social interaction for months due to teleworking from home. The isolation was so bad I stopped playing guitar for approximately 9-months. I made several attempts to get back into it, but it just didn’t take. I recently resigned from my job finally realizing that my overall health and wellness were being impacted by work stress and anxiety. So while I’m getting my health back in order, searching for a new job, I hope to get back into my guitar routine that I had established for years prior to the global pandemic.

My Guitar Routine

This is How I TAC

In a perfect week, I will practice the TAC Daily Challenge each day for at least 10-minutes along with repeating the previous day’s challenges for at least 5-minutes. After each days practice session I am usually working on a new song and try to make progress similar to what I’ve learned in using the TAC song vault. I usually practice after work and on the weekends I will pick up my guitars a few times depending on what I have going on. I usually always play in my living room, often in front of the television while I’m watching the Acoustic Tuesday Show or streaming some a Netflix Show. I find watching Netflix is a great way to build muscle memory without getting worn out because my mind is focused on something other than how tired my hands or sore my fingertips are becoming.

Why I'm Here	I’m a mechanical engineer who lives and works in Eastern Washington. I was an active TAC member for over 5 years until the isolation of being stuck at home due to COVID sucked all the enjoyment of playing guitar at home. After a much needed surgery I am back and hoping the guitar itch will stick permanently again. I currently own a Taylor 314ce and a Martin D-35.
