| Why I'm Here |
I have doodled around with the guitar more off than on since the 1970s. COVID came along and I had to find something a bit more filling than not being able to go out, etc. Â So, I pulled out the guitar I purchased in the mid 1990s, An Ibanez, AW100. Â Such a shame to have it just sitting in its case in the closet. I pulled it out and headed down to the little music store here in Independence OR and the guy that runs the shop restrung the guitar (and offered to buy it from me). I came home and picked up more research on lessons online. I liked what I saw with TAC, signed up and am a happy camper! I have learned a lot. But there is another reason I did this: in 2018 I had a fall that shattered by wrist and surgery with a plate and 11 screws are not holding the hand to the wrist. I needed other, more enjoyable exercise than what OT could offer, so I started learning the ukulele. Great little instrument but I wanted a more rounded, full sound….and low and behold….guitar in closet sees daylight! I still play the uke and enjoy it, but I also enjoy the guitar.
