| Why I'm Here |
Brand new as 42 year old to guitar. I’ve always wanted to learn, but was too busy working or raising a family. I even purchased amazing guitars going back to 2006, in an attempt to force myself to find the time. The “non-working” guitars were a constant reminder of my total failure as it relates to this personal goal. Then, as my kids got older, I “strongly suggested” they take guitar in middle school, because it’s a life-long skill that is designed to be fun, but can always keep you learning and growing. Regardless – now is the time for me to learn. Finding this site is like drinking from a fire hose – but I love it. In a very short period of time, I’m now convinced I “know” how to play the guitar… now I need to convince my hands to do their part.

I want to keep my brain sharp, and I enjoy music and small victories. I also see this as something my entire family can do together. In fact, I had to buy 4 guitars, because every time I picked up my new guitar, one of my kids would come into the room and say, “Can I see that?” Nothing made me happier than handing it to them and watching them enjoy it.
