With time a gradually moved to thicker picks. I now use 2 mm primetone, gator grip and big stubby (tone warmer to brighter respectively). The exception is a 0.5 mm pick for the 12-strings, it allows more each string to ring more distinctively.

Thre difficulty making the F chord can sometime be related to the way you hold your guitar. If the neck is too low there’s a good chance your middle or ring finger will damp other strings. If the case just try raising the neck bringing it toward your head

You really nailed the chord transitions, congrats!

Also make sure you maintain a good pressure on the fretted (initial) note until the hammer on is completed. If you release it, it will damp the sound.

It’s the closest to the nut so the distance between the string is narrower and you need to apply more pressure to produce a clean sound. Try moving the same shape to the fifth ( A chord) or seventh fret (B chord). Once you get a clean sound there try one fret lower and so on. Take your time to place your fingers and then strum string by string to check for a buzzing string. Hope this can help you!

If you pull toward the G string the ring finder on the A string have a tendancy to move in the same direction (toward the G string).

Classical typically have 2″ nut width, this makes it easyer for the fretting hand (and the lower string tension and bigger string gauge friendlier to the fingertips) but if you use a pick you will have to make wider movements with your picking hand. If you mostly use a pick, an hybrid guitar can be a good choice. The Cordoba Fusion 5 and the Yamaha NTX1 Nylon are affordable choices, the nut width is 1 7/8″, wider than an acoustic but less than a classical. Note that nylon string have less volume output, if you play with people using steel string you may need to be amplified. As mentioned the Taylors are also good choices AD12e Nylon, 112, 114, 214 but at a higher price tag.
