To have a much better familiarity with the fretboard, scales, and theory such as triads, caged, etc. Also want to increase my technique skills eg bending, sliding, barre chords.

Update June 2024  I completed Fretboard wizard last year and it helped tremendously; however I need to do it again. My technical skills have improved quite a bit via combination of doing the daily challenges more often and perseverance and practice. Still play most days, even if only for a few minutes, but often my sessions are one to two hours. Including the above, my notable wins are being able to move around the fretboard more readily and being able to fairly quickly find the key to a song and play along to my playlist. Scale patterns are really sinking in and playing by ear is getting better. This has really improved my solos and improvisation and Wednesdays have become my favorite challenge day. Last two things: for the past six months ive been getting together with a friend once a week to play together. Hes been playing all his life and so is very good but ive been able to keep up with him for the most part and we have had some amazing sessions, both playing covers and also just improv and making music. This has greatly increased my confidence to the point where i have started posting some songs on the forum, a huge step for me. Getting much better at fighting the “imposter syndrome” and not comparing myself to others. Goals are to continue to hone and increase my technical skills, keep learning new songs, maybe take some singing lessons, do FW again and finally, to start getting out there more ie playing with and for others like at an open mic.
